Sage of Monticello - (Vanilla, Key-Lime Sugar Cookie) Thomas Jefferson - referred to as the "Sage of Monticello" for his wisdom, intellect, and self designed mansion, appropriately named Monticello, was a man of many great feats, and accomplishments. That goes without saying. A simple, lesser-known joy of his, was to indulge in a local bakery's key-lime sugar cookies. Through the strenuous hours spent revising the Declaration of Independence, Tom was said to have bought out the entire store! This delicious sugar cookie, with a dash of vanilla, and key-lime, was a treat he enjoyed well into his later years. Nibbling away, while reminiscing of the Revolution against the Red Coats.
